Please read the instructions below this size chart before ordering. We have indicated whether this size chart uses body or garment measurements in the notes below the size chart. Allow 1cm variance for all garment measurements (as an example a 56cm garment measurement has a variance of 55-57cm. Please factor that into deciding on the size to order.)
To select cm (cm) or inches (in") please see the top left corner of the size chart table.
•Please use this size chart before ordering this product to ensure that you get the best fit and to save on returns costs.
⊙ NEW FIT: We have standardised the inside leg length for the new fit trousers to 32-inch leg. This has slightly affected the front rise measurement (a little shorter, but not by much). For the original fit the inside leg length increased as size increased.
•You can view the size chart in inches or centimeters by clicking on the "cm" or "inch" text on the green bar above the chart.
The measurements shown above are garment measurements so should be compared to another garment rather than your body measurements. Take a similar item that you own that fits comfortably to do the comparison. Please follow our guide below and scroll back up this page to place your order for this item.
1/2 Waist Measurement Note: These trousers are made with an elasticated waistband and a built-in drawstring so that the best fit is that much easier to achieve. The size chart shows both 1/2 Waist (relaxed), and 1/2 Waist (slightly stretched). Once you have measured your own trousers to get the 1/2 waist measurement for them using the instruction below, simply find the range on our size chart into which your trousers' 1/2 waist measurement falls and you should then get your size right. For example if your trousers measure between 43.5cm and 48.5 cm (17 inches to 19.1 inches) for the 1/2 waist, then you would order our size Large.
Three easy steps to ordering the right size:
You will need the following items:
• Measuring tape
• A flat surface (such as a table or counter)
• A notepad and pen
• An item of clothing from your wardrobe that fits comfortably and is a similar style to the one you wish to purchase
Referring to the images above, place your garment on a flat surface and record the following measurements:
A. 1/2 Waist: Measure across the top of the waistband from corner to corner.
B. Front Rise: Measure from the top of the front waistband to the crotch seam;
C. Inside Leg: Measure from the crotch seam to the bottom of the leg hem.
Compare your measurements with our size chart and order the size closest to those measurements. 1/2 Waist is usually the most important measurement if you are in a hurry, but checking all three will make for the most comfortable fit.
TIP: If you do not have a measuring tape, use your credit card. The long side of a credit card measures 8.5cm and the short side is 5.4cm. Simply use the centimetre measurements on our chart and divide by 8.5cm to get an idea of how many credit card lengths equals the measurement you are recording.
Please note: If you are unsure about which size to order, please contact us before ordering and we will help you as best we can.

Cargo pants are a fitting choice for men outdoors – and safari is no exception. Their multi-pocket design, comfortable fit, and slick looks make them an undeniable travel and everyday favourite.
These safari trousers are made for comfort – just what you need for your travels. In a cotton/spandex blended fabric, they are suitable all year round in Africa, especially when crisp early morning game drives demand longs. The spandex adds a bit of flex to the fabric too, which is ideal for ease of movement and long periods of sitting in equal measure. The button and fly design, merged with the brass-tipped drawstring and elasticated waistband, contribute to the comfortable fit of these trousers. This is even further enhanced by addition of a belt, using the belt loops.
The utility pockets on cargo pants make them a popular favourite for practicality. These trousers have six pockets: two hand pockets, two back pockets, and two zipped cargo pockets with quick grab tabs on the flap.
We rely on intensive expedition and safari-testing to ensure our clothing and gear lives up to our standards for African travel. On the Three Rivers Expedition in Zambia, these trousers were worn throughout the trip – and in myriad conditions both on the water and off – and have earned their place as an easy favourite for their comfort and versatility.
