The timelessness of safari and the easy elegance of black come together in Rufiji™'s flagship bag in the BLACK collection.The design of this bag was - in part - influenced by Steve's aunt Sally who is one of South Africa's leading architects. Sally is perhaps the most stylish person Steve knows and has an incredible dress sense centred on black, grey and white. Steve knew that he had to design a range of bags which Sally would feel at home using as that would mean that all of The Safari Store's most stylish clients would love to use the bags too. And so the BLACK range was born.

In Rufiji's™ signature safari-grade canvas and leather, the design of this shoulder bag is inspired by the styling of vintage field bags on safari. Juxtaposed against rich, smooth brown leather and brass details, this black canvas bag is a striking addition to every man and woman's luggage collection.

Black can be worn with any colour and in any setting to maximum effect when it comes to style. Its hardy construction and exceptional good looks make it functional for work, leisure, travel, and around the lodge on safari. With ample space for books, most laptops, and outdoor and business accessories, The Satchel is an easy choice to add a touch of luxury to an everyday accessory.

Use The Satchel as a business bag or laptop bag alternative (compare your laptop to the dimensions above). The detachable leather handle sits comfortably in the hand. It also has a thick, adjustable woven canvas shoulder strap.

It has two zipped small outer pockets, a large zipped main compartment, and a thin back pocket. The bag has a flap which closes over the main compartment using leather straps and brass buckles. If you need to get to your mobile or pocket binoculars without delay, the front pockets are easily accessible using the quick-release brass studs.

Product note for safaris
The Rufiji™ Safari Explorer Satchel is now available in a black canvas and brown leather colour option. Please note that, for bush walks and full walking safaris, we recommend neutral, safari-friendly colours. However, this black colour combination is well-suited for use around the lodge and will be well-used as a field bag on travels and adventures where blending into the bush is not a priority
