Introduction:
With the “build your bag” features of the Safari Voyager, transport shirts and suits using the folding built-in suit bag design. This edition features leather handles and additional design upgrades.

If you are going on safari, a soft-sided bag is essential. With a built-in suit bag design, the Safari Voyager suit bags are duffels that translate well across all business and leisure travels – with that little bit of invaluable extra length in comparison with the standard Mara&Meru™ Voyager Bags. This latest edition of the bag has new full-leather handles and additional brass studs – an easy complement to the safari-grade canvas of the bag. It also has a reinforced base for extra strength where it matters as you travel.

The Mara&Meru™ Safari Voyager is the ingenious luggage created for safari – and the suit bag adds a further dimension to an already outstanding duffel. The compound design allows you to pack your clothes into the core bag and zip off the side pockets which are handy daypacks and backpacks. The core bag can stay at the lodge or at your hotel, while the detachable sides can be taken along for activities. In core mode, it is the perfect size for short journeys, weekends away, or as hand luggage. The core bag comes standard with two small side pockets that attach to the core bag with zips. These can be removed and used independently as satchels and come with detachable shoulder straps.

The suit bag is built into the top flap of the duffel in a folding garment bag design. Great for business, it is also the ideal way to transport shirts and trousers on African travels. The suit bag compartment has an antique brass hook so you can unroll and hang this section of the bag on arrival at your destination.

A note about luggage handlers, ground staff, and canvas and leather luggage: We stand by the quality of the construction of our canvas and leather range and the quality of the safari-grade canvas and leather we use to make our bags. We have also expedition tested all of our canvas and leather luggage so that we know just how tough it is. Canvas and leather are, however fabrics and, as with all fabrics, they have their limitations. While cases are few and far between and we have not experienced puncturing on our own safaris and expeditions, fabric, by its very nature, is able to puncture or tear if subjected to force, sharp objects, if thrown along an abrasive surface, or other forms of harsh handling. We urge any clients who have their luggage damaged by luggage handlers & ground staff to contact us for a quote to submit to their travel insurance to make a claim.

Kindly note that we do not have a professional repair service. We will try and assist in any way we can but, in the event of your bag being damaged on your travels, please submit a claim to your travel insurance.
