Introduction:
Clever luggage makes for easy travels – and the Safari Voyager has long been a safari favourite. In a design that allows you to build your own bag, this edition has new features for travel-lovers.
Soft-sided luggage is a safari essential. The Mara&Meru™ Safari Voyager was created to meet and exceed the needs of African travellers with a clever luggage collection. Its detachable, interchangeable end pockets function as stand-alone small satchels and backpacks, meaning you can create the bag suited to your needs for safari, business, and all leisure travels.
This edition of the bag has additional leather features, giving this classic favourite a fresh new look and feel. Leather handles are strong and smooth on the hands – providing a luxurious contrast with the safari-grade canvas and antique brass details. The bag also has additional brass studs and a reinforced base for additional strength.
The compound design allows you to pack your clothes into the core bag and zip off the side pockets which are handy daypacks. The core bag can stay at the lodge or at your hotel, while the detachable sides can be taken along for activities. In core mode, it is the perfect size for short journeys, weekends away, or as hand luggage. The core bag comes standard with two small side pockets that attach to the core bag with zips. These can be removed and used independently as satchels and come with detachable shoulder straps.
We also stock a range of attachments that zip to the Mara&Meru™ Safari Voyager III so you can customise your bag with ease. With the complete Mara&Meru™ set of bags, you have the freedom and flexibility to create the bag you need for every type of travel. The ability to add or remove attachments to create the individual bag of your choosing means that your Safari Voyager is wholly adaptable to meet your needs.
Other attachments available for the Mara&Meru™ Safari Voyager:
- 3-in-1 Pocket/Satchel/DayPack (Adjustable depth)
- 4-in-1 Pocket/CameraBag/Satchel/Daypack
When ordering attachments, please note that there is a slight difference in colour between Khaki Tan and Safari Tan
A note about luggage handlers, ground staff, and canvas and leather luggage: We stand by the quality of the construction of our canvas and leather range and the quality of the safari-grade canvas and leather we use to make our bags. We have also expedition tested all of our canvas and leather luggage so that we know just how tough it is. Canvas and leather are, however fabrics and, as with all fabrics, they have their limitations. While cases are few and far between and we have not experienced puncturing on our own safaris and expeditions, fabric, by its very nature, is able to puncture or tear if subjected to force, sharp objects, if thrown along an abrasive surface, or other forms of harsh handling. We urge any clients who have their luggage damaged by luggage handlers & ground staff to contact us for a quote to submit to their travel insurance to make a claim.
Kindly note that we do not have a professional repair service. We will try and assist in any way we can but, in the event of your bag being damaged on your travels, please submit a claim to your travel insurance.
