Size Chart & Size Guide

Please read the instructions below this size chart before ordering. We have indicated whether this size chart uses body or garment measurements in the notes below the size chart. Allow 1cm variance for all garment measurements (as an example a 56cm garment measurement has a variance of 55-57cm. Please factor that into deciding on the size to order.)

⊙ Durable, high-performance Hydrovent, combed cotton, polyester, nylon, elastane blended fabric outer. (75% Combed Cotton, 13% Hydrovent® Polyester, 10% Nylon, 2% Elastane. Inner Liner: 100% Tactel® Nylon - percentages may change slightly between production runs, but the comfort & functionality always stays the same).

⊙ These socks come up to just below the calf when worn at full length (leg length dependent of course). They are longer than the ankle socks.
⊙ Note: Always use common sense and make sure that shoes or boots you are using for long walks or activities are properly worn-in. These socks will do their very best to keep you blister-free, but you should still ensure that your footwear fits properly.

⊙ We have included the following estimated conversion sizes for UK / US / EU sizes for this product. Some common sense should be used too as we all usually know if we have small, medium, large or very big feet. Fortunately with socks there is much more stretch in a sock - than for a shoe - and so estimating your size should usually work out. Sizes are generic for men and women. Any queries please contact us before ordering.

Introduction:
Whether you’re planning day-long walking safaris or hikes or are taking short walks around the lodge, a bad blister can make every step painful. These hardworking, hard-walking double layer socks are a safari and outdoor essential for comfort. They also offer high-performance features that keep feet cool, dry, and comfortable in hot and humid weather and for active adventures.

It starts with the materials of these breathable socks. The Tactel lining works with the outer as liner socks to prevent blisters and wick moisture. This nylon microfibre is also breathable, protective, and quick-drying. Its softness reduces friction and, with it, chafing. This material is commonly used for activewear as it is significantly lighter than other fabrics and dries 8 times faster than cotton.

The Hydrovent outer works with the Tactel to wick moisture away from the skin. The cotton terry cushioning has almost towel-like properties, drawing and releasing wicked moisture for comfort. The weave is also insulating and has the effect of providing cushioning and softness for all-day wearer comfort.

When it comes to construction, there’s plenty to keep you happily on your feet and exploring. The welt or cuff of the sock is turned in and elasticated, so you can wear them rolled down or pulled up without tightness or discomfort. They also provide targeted arch and ankle support with elasticated sections applying pressure and acting as a shock absorber.

The flat linked toe seams reduce friction and blisters at the toes and this design makes the seam virtually unnoticeable – which is especially important if they are in walking shoes all day.

Product note:
• Please note: if you have narrow feet or are on the border between sizes, you should go down a size. For optimal performance, the sock should be a snug fit with no wrinkles.
