Introduction:
In full leather, this is a bag designed by women as the ideal safari companion, day-to-day companion, and business companion. Spacious, organised, and exuding safari sophistication for every occasion.

With safari in mind, our all-woman design team got to work to design a luxury bag which women would keep by their side for African travel, their daily commute, and in the boardroom. Made from safari-grade leather, this bag is as strong as it is elegant and its natural texture will gain character with age - perfect for travel.

The modern professional is never far from his or her work bag, so it is worth investing in the kind of bag you will use and love every day. When it comes to a business bag, you want your style to convey the right impression and nothing is more durable or easily sophisticated than a leather briefcase, laptop bag, and work satchel.

With two fixed leather handles for strength, these handles are easy on the hands and can be used to tuck your bag under your arm when worn over the shoulder. For those who prefer a longer shoulder strap, the detachable shoulder strap has brass clips. This strap is adjustable through the brass buckle, allowing you to adapt the length of the strap to your preference.

The large interior of the bag is designed to carry your game drive, work, and everyday essentials. The interior is divided into three compartments for your convenience and the size accommodates most laptop computers. Two small pockets are located on the one side of the bag - perfect for your mobile or glasses case. Between these pockets are three pen holders, so you can have a pen close at hand for meetings, notes, and to jot down your next great idea. The bag also has a handy brass and leather key clip on the inside of the bag to keep your keys within reach at all times.

The inner compartment is closed by means of a zip with a strong leather tab that is easy on the hands. The Mara&Meru™ Leather Safari Companion also has an open pocket on both the front and back of the bag, as well as a smaller open pocket on each side, for easy access to smaller items when you're on the go.

The Mara&Meru™ Leather Safari Companion Bag has strong, neat stitching and antique brass detail which complements the fine, dark leather of the bag and contributes to its overall strength. The brass feet keep the bag upright when you set it down - and prevents scuffing on the underside of the bag.

Your Mara&Meru™ bag is packaged in a re-usable canvas drawstring bag. At The Safari Store, we are working hard to eliminate plastic from all of our packaging. This forms part of our commitment to a green future and the preservation of the environment, so future generations can enjoy pristine natural spaces.

A note about leather: We stand by the quality of the construction of our leather range and the quality of the safari-grade leather we use to make our bags. We have also expedition tested all of our leather luggage and bags so that we know just how tough they are. Leather is, however, a fabric and, as with all fabrics, it has its limitations. While cases are few and far between and we have not experienced puncturing on our own safaris and expeditions, fabric, by its very nature, is able to puncture or tear if subjected to force, sharp objects, if thrown along an abrasive surface, or other forms of harsh handling.
