This full-leather limited-edition bag is modelled on our Mara&Meru™ 3-in-1 Bag – a stand-alone bag which can also be zipped on to the Mara&Meru™ Safari Voyager as a side pocket, allowing you to build your own bag on safari and multi-day adventures. This has become a bag loved for its versatility and this limited edition version offers all the features in full-leather luxury.

Choose how you wear your bag. The shoulder strap is removeable and can be used to convert your satchel into a backpack using the D-rings on the back of the bag. A new design feature of the Limited Edition Leather Pannier Bag is the addition of three pannier straps (two buckled and one with a press-stud) – perfect for securing your bag to your bicycle for your daily commute or your next biking adventure. This bag also has adjustable depth, allowing you to unzip additional space in the bag as you need it.

Every detail of this bag is designed to offer superior quality safari styling and, while its look may be timeless, this level of luxury is only available to a few. The first run of 25 bags have been made, each with a unique, individual number stamped on the inside of the front flap. With 50 bags to be made in total, your bag will always form part of an exclusive luggage collection from The Safari Store.

Say no to plastic packaging
Your Mara&Meru™ bag is packaged in a re-usable canvas drawstring bag. At The Safari Store, we are working hard to eliminate plastic from all of our packaging. This forms part of our commitment to a green future and the preservation of the environment, so future generations can enjoy pristine natural spaces.

A note about leather: We stand by the quality of the construction of our leather range and the quality of the safari-grade leather we use to make our bags. We have also expedition tested all of our leather luggage and bags so that we know just how tough they are. Leather is, however, a fabric and, as with all fabrics, it has its limitations. While cases are few and far between and we have not experienced puncturing on our own safaris and expeditions, fabric, by its very nature, is able to puncture or tear if subjected to force, sharp objects, if thrown along an abrasive surface, or other forms of harsh handling.

A note about luggage handlers & ground staff in Africa: We stand by the quality of the construction of our leather range and the quality of the safari-grade leather we use to make our bags. We have also expedition-tested all of our leather luggage so we know just how tough it is. Leather is, however, a fabric and as with all fabrics it has its limitations. While cases are few and far between and we have not experienced puncturing on our own safaris and expeditions, fabric, by its very nature, is able to puncture or tear if subjected to force, sharp objects, if thrown along an abrasive surface, or other forms of harsh handling. We urge any clients who have their luggage damaged by luggage handlers and ground staff to contact us for a quote to submit to their travel insurance to make a claim.
